JULY / AUGUST

There are many reasons we feel it is prudent to postpone a LGC Garden Walk until next year.
We are somewhat impaired trying to plan larger events when not able to meet as we regularly do. Member participation is really a critical issue and we must focus on having a successful Plant/Décor Sale and fabulous Christmas Party. Consider this: Next year will be the LGC’s 90th Anniversary and given more time etc. we could plan an awesome Garden Walk/Celebration. This will be discussed during the upcoming meetings, so if you have different ideas and will be the one to step up and
execute those ideas, then please make feasible suggestions.
-
We will have “Walk With Us Weekly” with four Bi-Weekly organized gatherings to enjoy strolling through various public gardens in our community. (Reinstein Woods, Delaware Park Rose Garden, Gardens at Buffalo’s Waterfront, Williamsville’s Glen Park) Specific dates and times TBA.
This type of fellowship with other gardeners and longtime friends is an important aspect of our club.
(There may even be individual ice cream treats when the weather is warm!)

-
THE ERIE COUNTY FAIR is scheduled to take place Wednesday 8/11 through Sunday 8/22.
The Outdoor Garden-Botanical Arts exhibit must be installed Fri 8/6, Sat 8/7, Mon 8/9 from 9am ‘til 12pm. The Design, Horticulture and Botanical Arts displays must be set up Monday 8/9 between 1pm-4pm (Closes at 7pm ) ALL removal must be done on Tuesday 8/24 (No exceptions).
